Some fifty-seven years ago, two men dared to accomplish an impossible task, which no human had ever done before. Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Edmund Hillary sought to conquer the highest mountain of the world, Mount Everest. The bravery and courage of these men made the highest peak look small in front of them. Determination, so strong that even death lost its icy grip over life. Bravery, so huge that fear itself fears to wander around. Similarly, some fifty years ago a country achieved an impossible feat. The United States of America successfully landed the first humans on the surface of the moon on July 16, 1969. The willpower of a nation made the journey look so simple and easy. As a proud Nepali residing in this great nation of the United States, I really believe we can contribute more to the society. Read more
