Namaste,
Nepal has always been a mystery to the west and fascinating to everyone. There is a lot of beauty in Nepal. With its rich ancient cultures and dramatic scenery, Nepal is a land of discovery and unique experiences. We have a very popular quote that It Says ‘If a man says he is not afraid of dying, he is either lying or is a Gurkha.’ As immigrants, we came with rich cultures and histories and a brave attitude. It is now our responsibility to pass on this legacy to the new generations in the United States of America.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Nepalese Society, Texas for electing me to serve as your President from 2021 to 2023. I am also fortunate to have one of the best Executive members on my team. Having the trust and confidence of the members of our esteemed organization is an honor and a privilege. The Nepalese Society, Texas has played an increasingly important role in the refinement and shaping of our community during the last twenty four years. NST’s founder president and every subsequent president played a vital role in making it what it is today. All past presidents deserve a thank-you and I would like to continue their long-term projects that all have started. NST has served as an umbrella organization in the region, connecting all the other organizations.
My direct message to all NST members as well as the Nepalese community in Texas is that we Nepalese must work together to share our cultures and beliefs with the next generation. To achieve that, community leaders must step out of their circle and think critically about their actions. As a nation, we have a responsibility to make the foundations of Nepalese values here in the United States. During my presidential tenure, I believe it can be a historical milestone.Thanking You

नेपाल पश्चिमि विश्वलाई रहस्यमय र चाखलाग्यो देशका रुपमा रहिआएको छ । यो सुन्दर देश हो । नेपालमा आदिमकालिन संस्कार र संस्कृतिको स्थान भएपनि विभिन्न खोज र अनुभवले भरिपुर्ण छ ।हामिलाई धेरै प्रसिद्ध भनाईहरुले चिनाउँछ, भनिन्छ ‘कोहि मान्छे मूत्यु सँग डराउँदिन भन्छ भने कि त्यसले ढाँटि रहेको छ वा नेपाली (गोर्खाली) हो’ l हामि संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिकामा भरपुर संस्कार,संस्कृति, र साहासिक विचार सहित आएका छौ । अब हाम्रो दायित्व भनेको त्यो संस्कार,संस्कृति,परम्परा र हाम्रो गौरवपुर्ण इतिहासलाई हाम्रा सन्तति सम्म हस्तान्तरण गर्नु रहेको छ ।
म नेपाली समाज, टेक्सास प्रति कृतज्ञ छु र धन्यवाद दिन चाहान्छु किनकि मलाई २०२1-२०२3 का लागि यस संस्थाको सभापतिमा निर्वाचित गर्नुभएकोमा ।म सम्पुर्ण कार्यसमितिमा निर्वाचित जुझारु टिम प्रति आभारी छु lमैले यसलाई यस संस्थाले दिएको विश्वास,आत्माविश्वास, र विशेषाधिकार लाई सम्मानका रुपमा लिएको छु । स्थापनाको २४ औ वर्ष देखि यससंस्थाले खेलेको भुमिकाले हाम्रो समाजलाई एउटा स्वरुप प्रदान गरेको छ ।हाम्रा संस्थापन अध्यक्ष र त्यसपछिका सम्पूर्ण अध्यक्ष ज्यू हरुको भुमिका यस संस्थालाई आजको एन.एस.टि बनाउनमा अतुलन्य छ । म सम्पूर्ण पूर्व अध्यक्ष ज्यूहरु लाई धन्यवाद दिदै समाजका लागि वाहाँहरुले शुरुवात गर्नुभएका दिर्घकालिन कामहरुलाई निरन्तरता दिने विश्वास दिलाउछु ।एन.एस.टि ले यस टेक्सास राज्यमा एउटा छाता संस्थाको रुपमा अरु संस्थालाई एकैठाउँमा राखेर सहभाव र सहकार्य गर्दै सामाजिक काम गर्दै आईरहेको छ ।
मेरो एन.एस.टि सदस्य ज्यूहरु, टेक्सासको नेपाली समाजलाई के अपिल छ भने, हामी सबै एउटै मञ्चमा साझा उद्देश्यका साथ काम गर्नु छ, हाम्रो संस्कार, परम्परा, विश्वास,र गौरवशालि संस्कृति लाई सबै भएर हाम्रो नयाँ पुस्तालाई सिकाउनु र देखाउनु छ ।यसका लागी मुलतः हामी सामाजिक नेतृत्वले सानो घेराबाट वाहिर निस्केर, रचनात्मक रुपमा विचार गरेर हाम्रो ऐतिहासिक जिम्बेवारि पुरा गर्नु पर्ने हुन्छ । हाम्रो नेपाली मुल्य र मान्यताको आधार यस सयुक्त राज्य अमेरिकामा स्थापना गर्नु पर्ने छ । मलाई विश्वास छ, मेरो कार्यकाल त्यसका लागि एउटा कोशेढुङ्गा बन्ने छ र म त्यसका लागि सदा सर्वदा प्रयत्न गरिरहने छु ।
