Namaste,
It is with deep humility and gratitude that I accept the responsibility to serve as President of the Nepalese Society, Texas. Our community stands on a proud legacy of culture, resilience, and unity. Nepal, though modest in size, carries a rich heritage of history, spirituality, and strength. As Nepalis living in the United States, we serve as custodians of this heritage and as a bridge between our roots and the future generations growing up here.
The Nepalese Society, Texas was established more than two decades ago with a clear vision: to bring the Nepalese community together, preserve our culture, and create a supportive platform for social, cultural, and community development. Over the years, NST has grown into one of the most respected Nepalese community organizations in the region. This growth is the result of the tireless efforts of our founders, past presidents, executive committee members, and countless volunteers who dedicated their time, leadership, and service to building a strong and united community.
NST has played a vital role in organizing cultural programs, community gatherings, charitable initiatives, and social services that have strengthened bonds among Nepalese families across Texas. It has also served as an umbrella organization, helping connect and coordinate with other Nepalese associations and community groups. Because of this strong foundation, NST today stands as a symbol of unity, trust, and collective progress.
As we move into this new chapter, my vision is to build upon this legacy while preparing NST for the future. My priorities will include strengthening collaboration among Nepalese organizations, encouraging youth involvement and leadership, expanding cultural education, and increasing community engagement. Our younger generation represents both our hope and our responsibility. It is essential that we provide them with opportunities to stay connected to their heritage while equipping them to succeed as confident leaders in American society.
I believe in inclusive leadership, transparency, and shared responsibility. The continued success of NST depends not on one individual, but on the collective efforts of our members, volunteers, and community leaders. Together, we can further strengthen NST’s role in promoting unity, volunteerism, and initiatives that uplift our community socially, culturally, and professionally.
This presidency marks not just a change in leadership, but a continuation of a proud journey that began many years ago. With your guidance, cooperation, and active participation, I am confident that we can honor the past, strengthen the present, and build a brighter future for Nepalese Society, Texas.

नेपाली समाज टेक्सासको अध्यक्षको रूपमा सेवा गर्ने जिम्मेवारी स्वीकार गर्न पाउँदा म अत्यन्तै कृतज्ञ र गौरवान्वित महसुस गर्दैछु । हाम्रो समुदाय संस्कृति, एकता, र दृढतामा आधारित बलियो विरासतमा उभिएको छ । सानो भूगोल भए पनि नेपालले गहिरो इतिहास, आध्यात्मिकता, र साहसको धनी पहिचान बोकेको छ। संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिकामा बसोबास गर्ने हामी नेपालीहरू आफ्ना जरा र यहाँ हुर्किंदै गरेको नयाँ पुस्ताबीच सेतुका रूपमा काम गरिरहेका छौं ।
दुई दशकभन्दा बढी समयअघि स्थापना भएको नेपाली समाज टेक्सासको उद्देश्य नेपाली समुदायलाई एकजुट गर्नु, हाम्रो भाषा, संस्कृति, र परम्पराको संरक्षण गर्नु, तथा सामाजिक, सांस्कृतिक, र सामुदायिक विकासका लागि सशक्त मञ्च उपलब्ध गराउनु थियो । संस्थापकहरू, पूर्व अध्यक्षहरू, कार्यसमिति सदस्यहरू, र अनगिन्ती स्वयंसेवकहरूको अथक मेहनत, समर्पण, र नेतृत्वका कारण आज NST टेक्सास क्षेत्रकै सम्मानित नेपाली संस्थामध्ये एक बनेको छ ।
NST ले सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमहरू, सामुदायिक जमघट, परोपकारी गतिविधिहरू, र सामाजिक सेवामार्फत नेपाली परिवारहरूबीच सम्बन्ध सुदृढ गर्न महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका खेलेको छ । साथै, NST ले अन्य नेपाली संघसंस्थाहरूसँग समन्वय गर्दै छाता संगठनको रूपमा पनि काम गर्दै आएको छ । यही बलियो आधारका कारण आज NST एकता, विश्वास, र सामूहिक प्रगतिका प्रतीकका रूपमा स्थापित भएको छ ।
यस नयाँ अध्यायमा प्रवेश गर्दै गर्दा, मेरो उद्देश्य यस गौरवपूर्ण विरासतलाई अझ सुदृढ बनाउँदै भविष्यतर्फ NST लाई तयार पार्नु हो । विभिन्न नेपाली संघसंस्थाबीच सहकार्य सुदृढ गर्नु, युवाहरूको सहभागिता र नेतृत्व विकास गर्नु, सांस्कृतिक शिक्षालाई प्रवर्द्धन गर्नु, तथा सामुदायिक संलग्नता विस्तार गर्नु मेरा प्रमुख प्राथमिकताहरू रहनेछन् । हाम्रो नयाँ पुस्ता नै हाम्रो आशा र जिम्मेवारी दुवै हो । उनीहरूलाई आफ्नो पहिचान र संस्कृतिसँग जोडिराख्दै अमेरिकन समाजमा आत्मविश्वासी नेतृत्वकर्ता बन्ने अवसर प्रदान गर्नु हाम्रो कर्तव्य हो ।
म समावेशी नेतृत्व, पारदर्शिता, र साझा उत्तरदायित्वमा विश्वास गर्दछु । NST को निरन्तर सफलताको आधार कुनै एक व्यक्ति होइन, बरु सम्पूर्ण सदस्यहरू, स्वयंसेवकहरू, र समुदायका अगुवाहरूको सामूहिक प्रयास हो । हामी सबै मिलेर सामाजिक, सांस्कृतिक, र व्यावसायिक रूपमा हाम्रो समुदायलाई उकास्ने पहलहरूलाई अझ सशक्त बनाउन सक्छौं ।
यो कार्यकाल केवल नेतृत्व परिवर्तन मात्र होइन, वर्षौँअघि सुरु भएको गौरवपूर्ण यात्राको निरन्तरता हो । तपाईंहरूको मार्गदर्शन, सहकार्य, र सक्रिय सहभागितासँगै, हामी अतीतको सम्मान गर्दै वर्तमानलाई सुदृढ र भविष्यलाई उज्यालो बनाउँदै नेपाली समाज टेक्सासलाई अझ उच्च शिखरतर्फ लैजान सक्षम हुनेछौं भन्नेमा म विश्वस्त छु ।
